How to Run a Themed Exchange
- Choose the gifts that fit your group and discuss any questions.
- Agree on a budget, date, and delivery method. For food gifts, ask about dietary restrictions in advance.
- Send the invitation and collect gift preferences directly.
- Draw names once and tell each participant who they’re giving to.
- Exchange gifts. The theme changes the kind of gift, not the number of recipients.
Example Book Exchange
Alex likes travel, and Jamie likes mysteries. They each list books they’ve read and genres they enjoy. After names are drawn, their Secret Santas choose a book within the shared budget and add a note. The book kit can help prepare the gift; names are drawn separately.
Do I need an account?
No. Rules, invitations, questions, copying, and printing are free. You send the messages; this tool doesn’t send invitations or store a shared participant list.
What happens when I change the theme?
Your budget, date, and extra details stay the same. Your text edits are saved; you can update them manually or confirm rebuilding the kit with the new theme.
